On planting seeds

Last week I was at one of these conferences where you feel good like a fish. You hear inspiring people, you are around people that speak the same language, have your same vision, hopes and feelings. And among the speakers a minute figure, but with an powerful voice read to the audience some of her wonderful poems.

I wanted to share with you the "On planting seeds" by Helen Moore, eco-poet/environmental  artist writer www.natures-words.co.uk - as it mirrors somehow my  and others work in promoting a more sustainable world; we plant seeds that might unfold today, tomorrow, in one year or more ,depending on the 'fertility' of the soil.

How I misjudge these smallest things-
dull and dry as peppercorns,
when in my palm I hold
a potency waiting to be sown.

Dull and dry as peppercorns
and yet in dormancy they breathe,
potency waiting to unfold,
sensing fertile sun and soil.
